GAME BREAKDOWN
KEY MATCHUP: Florida’s offensive line vs. LSU’s defensive line. Florida’s offensive line will face its most physical challenge yet, facing an LSU defensive front whose three starters average more than 300 pounds. LSU ranks fifth in the SEC in sacks with 13. Florida’s much maligned offensive line has allowed just seven sacks through its first five games but will need to keep QB Feleipe Franks protected so he can make plays downfield. Look for the Gators to also employ some quick screens in the offensive game plan to keep LSU’s defensive front honest.
DRAFT SLANT:
–LT Martez Ivey will face a challenge this week holding off LSU 6-foot-3,301-pound junior DE Rashard Lawrence, who has 17 career sacks and three tackles for loss this season. Plenty of scouts will be on hand to see how the 6-foot-5, 306-pound Ivey performs against a future NFL defensive lineman.
ROSTER REPORT:
–WR Jacob Copeland (knee) remains questionable for LSU.
–CB C.J. McWilliams returned for the Mississippi State game after missing the first four games of the season with an undisclosed injury.
