GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Virginia’s defense against N.C. State quarterback Ryan Finley. The Cavaliers are allowing just under 184 yards passing per game this season which ranks them No. 43 in the country. Finley has thrown for more than 300 yards in all three of the Wolfpack’s games so far and will have to make up for a struggling running game. N.C. State averages 107 yards rushing on the season which will allow the Cavaliers to put more guys back in coverage to handle Finley’s strong arm and arsenal of weapons at the wide receiver position. Junior Kelvin Harmon has yet to find the end zone for the Wolfpack this season, but averages over 17 yards per reception.

DRAFT SLANT

–LB Jordan Mack recorded seven tackles and 0.5 sacks against Louisville but will miss the next six weeks with an injury that he suffered during the game against the Cardinals. The junior has had a solid start to the 2018 season but will now need to recover and possibly return to play in the Cavaliers’ final few games of the season. Mack was starting to get looks from scouts as he was one of the anchors of Virginia’s front seven.

ROSTER REPORT

–LB Jordan Mack will miss at least six weeks with an undisclosed injury.

–DE Richard Burney will miss the remainder of the season with an undisclosed medical condition but “will be fine” according to coach Bronco Mendenhall.
