GAME BREAKDOWN
KEY MATCHUP: The status of senior QB Eric Dungey impacts much of Syracuse’s actions on offense against a Boston College defense that ranks No. 9 against the pass in the conference (allowing 237.5 yards a game). Dungey left last week’s loss against Notre Dame with an apparent back injury, and some reports suggest his season is over. Redshirt freshman Tommy DeVito 14 of 31 passes for only 105 yards as Dungey’s backup. Syracuse will have to rely on the run more with Dungey out and the Orange is fourth in the ACC gaining 207.3 yards a game.
