GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: AJ Dillon is not 100 percent but still ran for 116 yards on a season-high 37 carries last week at Florida State. Syracuse is just 72nd in the country against the run, leading one to believe the Eagles should be able to run the ball effectively in the regular season finale.

DRAFT SLANT

–DE Zach Allen continues to impress the pro scouts. NFLdraftscout.com has him rated as the No. 2 defensive end in the country. With All-America Harold Landry hurt for most of last season (and now with the Tennessee Titans), Allen led the charge for the Eagles up front. He is an athletic DE who was able to fly through the air to pick up a fumble in the loss at Purdue. In the win over Louisville, he was in on seven tackles, three of them for loss, one a sack, and added a sack last week. His 18.0 career sacks rank seventh on BC’s all-time list. He went 23rd — to the Cincinnati Bengals — in NFLDraftScout.com’s latest mock draft; and was named ACC defensive lineman of the week for his effort at Florida State.

ROSTER REPORT:

–LB Max Richardson was in on seven tackles, six solo and two for loss, against FSU.

–WR Michael Walker leads the nation in combined kick and punt return yards (1,132 yards) for the second straight year.
