Toronto forward Scottie Barnes sprained his right ankle in the third quarter of the Raptors’ 113-108 home loss to the New York Knicks on Monday night, but X-rays were negative.
Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic said postgame that Barnes would be re-evaluated on Tuesday.
Barnes exited the game with 6:47 remaining in the third after colliding with New York big man Karl-Anthony Towns. While on the ground, Barnes was seemingly telling medical staff that he couldn’t feel his foot.
Barnes had 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting prior to his departure. He also snagged five rebounds and handed out three assists.
Monday marked Barnes’ 10th game back after a broken orbital bone kept the 23-year-old out for nearly a month.
Barnes has averaged 20.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists in 14 games (all starts) this season.
