Yankees outfielder Cameron Maybin exited New York’s Friday game against the Houston Astros due to a strained left calf, and he was headed for an MRI exam.
Maybin opened the third inning with a single and was limping as he crossed home plate while scoring on Gary Sanchez’s two-run homer. Maybin was replaced by Aaron Hicks.
The Yankees acquired Maybin from Cleveland on April 25, five days after losing Aaron Judge to a strained left oblique.
Maybin is hitting .314 (37-for-118) with five homers, 14 RBIs and 27 runs in 42 games with the Yankees.
