The Washington Football team activated wide receiver Steven Sims Jr. from injured reserve Saturday.
He will be available for Sunday’s game against the visiting New York Giants.
The second-year wideout has been sidelined since aggravating a toe injury in a Week 3 loss at Cleveland. He was placed on IR on Oct. 9.
“He’s going to add a whole new element to our offense,” quarterback Kyle Allen said.
Sims, 23, has gained 201 all-purpose yards in three games this season, including 103 yards on six receptions.
As an undrafted rookie in 2019, Sims caught 34 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 85 yards and a score and returned 32 kickoffs for 819 yards and a TD.
Washington released defensive end Nate Orchard. He played 33 defensive snaps in three games this season and tallied two tackles.
