Minnesota Vikings right tackle Brian O’Neill signed a multi-year contract extension on Wednesday.
Terms were not disclosed by the team, however ESPN reported the deal was for five years and $92.5 million.
Per the network, O’Neill is tied to the organization for the next six seasons. He was entering the final campaign of a four-year rookie deal.
O’Neill said Wednesday he always knew he wanted to stay with the Vikings.
“Everybody around here, I just want to be a part of it. And I’m happy to be a part of it,” he said. “There was never really a doubt as to whether or not was something was going to work or not in my mind. This is where I want to be and I want to be a Viking for my whole career.”
O’Neill, 25, has appeared in 46 career games (42 starts) since being selected by the Vikings in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He started all 16 games last season.
