Angels center fielder Mike Trout left Los Angeles’ home game Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers after the third inning because of a right groin strain.
The team subsequently announced that Trout is day-to-day.
The two-time American League Most Valuable Player went 2-for-2 with two singles before leaving the game.
Trout, 27, has reached base via hit or walk in all 12 games he has played this season. He had five home runs in a four-game span from Thursday through Sunday, and he is batting .406 this season.
