Titans place K Succop on IR, sign Joseph

The Tennessee Titans placed Ryan Succop on injured reserve for the second time this season and signed fellow kicker Greg Joseph to a contract, the team announced Wednesday.

Succop initially landed on injured reserve prior to the start of the season in September and returned in Week 9. He connected on just 1 of 6 field goal attempts and 24 of 25 extra-point tries before making his second trip to injured reserve with an ailing knee.

Succop, 33, is 236 for 287 (82.2 percent) in field goal attempts and 338 for 348 (97.1 percent) on extra-point tries in his career with the Kansas City Chiefs (2009-2013) and Titans.

Joseph, who was signed from the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad, last played during the preseason for the Cleveland Browns before losing the kicking job to rookie Austin Seibert.

Joseph, 25, has made 17 of 20 field goal attempts and 25 of 29 extra-point tries in 14 games with the Browns in 2018.
