Former Texas A&M running back Jashaun Corbin is transferring to Florida State.
“I’m coming home. Let’s get to work,” the Florida native posted Saturday on Twitter.
As a sophomore in 2019, Corbin started the Aggies’ first two games before suffering a season-ending hamstring injury. He rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown and also caught a touchdown pass in a season-opening 41-7 win against Texas State.
Corbin rushed for 483 yards and two touchdowns and caught 16 passes for 101 yards and one score in 14 career games with Texas A&M.
He was a four-star signee in the Aggies’ 2018 recruiting class and ranked as the No. 8 all-purpose back in the country by the 247 Sports Composite. Corbin originally committed to Florida State, but followed former Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher to College Station.
Florida State will seek a waiver from the NCAA permitting Corbin to play in 2020, according to NBC Sports. If denied, he would have two years of eligibility remaining starting in 2021.
