Shoulder still limiting Cowboys QB Prescott

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott remains bothered by a right (throwing) shoulder injury, being listed as a non-participant on Wednesday’s estimated practice report.

The team issued the estimation because practice was pushed to the afternoon for the Christmas holiday. Head coach Jason Garrett elaborated on a conference call with reporters, saying Prescott is “probably in a similar place” to where he was a week ago and would be “limited at best” during practice.

Prescott was listed as limited throughout last week, although he suited up Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. He went 25 of 44 for 265 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in a 17-9 loss, which dropped the Cowboys out of control of the NFC East.

Prescott ranks second in the NFL with 4,599 passing yards and is tied for fifth in touchdowns (26).

Also listed as DNP on Wednesday were defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (shoulder) and linebacker Sean Lee (pectoral, thigh). Both played on Sunday and were able to finish the game.

Garrett told reporters that Lawrence played through his issue Sunday but was “affected” by it.
