The Indianapolis Colts and Marlon Mack have mutually agreed to pursue a trade.
Per multiple reports, the fifth-year running back requested a new opportunity with the Colts set at the position.
Mack is fully healthy after the Achilles tear he suffered last year. However, he’s played in just one game in 2021, getting five carries in the Colts’ Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines — who signed a contract extension prior to the season — are ensconced as the top two RBs for the Colts.
Mack has rushed for 2,399 yards in 42 games (23 starts) for the Colts, including gaining 1,091 yards in 2019. The Colts drafted Mack in the fourth round of the 2017 draft.
Mack tore his Achilles in the 2020 season opener and signed a one-year deal in the offseason to remain with the team.
