Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kemoko Turay will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a broken ankle in a win over the Kansas City Chiefs, multiple media outlets reported Monday.
Turay was injured while combining with fellow defensive end Jabaal Sheard to sack quarterback Patrick Mahomes on the Chiefs’ final play from scrimmage in the Colts’ 19-13 win on Sunday night.
The 24-year-old Turay was carted off the field, with several of his teammates taking a knee.
Defensive ends Ben Banogu and Al-Quadin Muhammad are expected to see additional snaps in place of Turay, who has recorded two tackles and 1.5 sacks in four games this season for Indianapolis.
Turay has collected 20 tackles, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 18 career games since being selected by the Colts in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
