Report: Lions’ Kalif Raymond agrees to 2-year extension

The Detroit Lions and Kalif Raymond agreed to a two-year extension that makes him one of the NFL’s highest-paid return specialists, NFL Network reported Friday.

Specific financial details of the agreement for Raymond were not disclosed.

The wide receiver was entering the final year of his contract with Detroit, which includes a $2.45 million base salary and a $4.05 million cap hit, per Spotrac.

Raymond, who turned 29 on Tuesday, bounced around with four other teams before settling in with the Lions in 2021. In 33 games with Detroit (21 starts), he has 95 catches for 1,192 yards and four touchdowns.

He also has returned 41 punts for 500 yards (13.2-yard average) with the Lions, including a 47-yard touchdown against the New York Jets in Week 15 last season.
