Report: K-State WR Youngblood enters transfer portal


Kansas State sophomore wide receiver Joshua Youngblood entered the transfer portal Tuesday, 247 Sports reported.

He was the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year, a First Team All-Big 12 selection and an ESPN All-American kick returner in 2019, but has played sparingly during the Wildcats’ 3-1 start to the 2020 season.

Youngblood has returned three kicks for 54 yards, rushed once for 3 yards and posted no receptions in two games this season.

In 2019, he played in all 13 games and led the nation in total kickoff return yards (502) and yards per return (35.9) while returning three for touchdowns. He also caught nine passes for 73 yards and rushed for 55 yards and a score on 11 carries.

No. 22 Kansas State (3-1, 3-0 Big 12) is off this weekend. The Wildcats return action against rival Kansas on Oct. 24.
