The Miami Dolphins signed rookie offensive tackle Austin Jackson to a contract, ESPN’s Field Yates reported on Thursday.
The Sun-Sentinel reported the deal is for four years and worth approximately $13.6 million with a $7.5 million signing bonus. A fifth-year option is included.
Jackson is the second of the Dolphins’ three first-round picks from the 2020 NFL Draft to sign a contract.
Miami selected the 6-foot-6, 322-pound Jackson out of Southern California with the 18th overall pick, 13 picks after it chose Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at No. 5.
Jackson, 20, earned first team All-Pac 12 honors last season with the Trojans. He likely will need to learn quickly as the team continues to rebuild after trading away Laremy Tunsil to the Houston Texans prior to the start of the 2019 season.
With Jackson reportedly in the fold, the Dolphins have signed nine of their 11 draft picks. Auburn cornerback Noah Igbinoghene, the team’s third first-round pick, and Louisiana-Lafayette offensive guard Robert Hunt, a second-round choice, have yet to sign a contract with the team.
