Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson is expected to play Sunday against the visiting Atlanta Falcons despite a back injury, according to an ESPN report late Saturday night.
Wideout Christian Kirk is not expected to play due to an ankle injury, per the report.
Both players are listed as questionable. Johnson missed Wednesday and Thursday practice before getting in a limited session on Friday, while Kirk got in limited practices all week.
Johnson, 27, has not missed a game this season, rushing 64 times for 264 yards and a touchdown while catching 24 passes for 247 yards and two scores.
Kirk, 22, sat out Sunday’s victory over the Cincinnati Bengals after getting hurt in Week 4 vs. Seattle. He has 24 catches for 242 yards this season but has yet to find the end zone.
