Report: 49ers TE Kittle expected to return Sunday night

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is expected to play Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers after being out since Oct. 31 because of ankle and knee injuries, ESPN reported Sunday morning.

ESPN said that Kittle played through a broken ankle in the Oct. 31 game against the Arizona Cardinals, catching six passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.

Kittle has missed the past two games.

His ankle “isn’t completely recovered,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who added that, “Kittle is tired of missing time, something he has not tolerated well.”

San Francisco wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) and Deebo Samuel (shoulder) are expected to play after being limited in practice this week, sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Kittle, in his third season, has 46 receptions for 541 yards and two touchdowns in eight games. His 1,377 receiving yards last season were a single-season record for a tight end.
