The Washington Redskins signed punter Tress Way to a multi-year contract extension Monday.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported it was a four-year extension worth more than $15 million, and he would be under contract through the 2024 season.
Way earned his first Pro Bowl selection in 2019 as he led the league in punting average (49.6 yards) and set a franchise record for net punting average (44.1).
Way, 29, also holds Washington’s records for punts inside the 20-yard line in a season (41 in 2018) and in a career (162).
Undrafted out of Oklahoma, Way was signed off waivers from the Chicago Bears in August 2014.
