The Boston Red Sox activated left-hander David Price from the 10-day injured list to start Sunday’s game at the Los Angeles Angels.
Price, 33, was placed on the IL on Aug. 8 (retroactive to Aug. 5) with a cyst in his left wrist.
The five-time All-Star is 7-5 with a 4.36 ERA in 21 starts this season, striking out 126 batters in 105 1/3 innings.
Price was 0-3 in his five starts before the injury and hasn’t won a game since beating the Detroit Tigers on July 7 for his 150th career victory.
The 2012 American League Cy Young Award winner is 150-80 with a 3.31 ERA in 310 starts during his 12-year career.
