Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson left Sunday’s game at the Cleveland Browns with a right ankle injury early in the second quarter.
Jackson, who was ruled out prior to the start of the third quarter, was taken down on a blitz from Cleveland linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. The 2019 NFL MVP got the throw off but showed discomfort after the tackle attempt and limped off the field.
Jackson was carted to the locker room after moving to the sideline under his own power.
Backup Tyler Huntley took over quarterback duties for the Ravens. Jackson was 4-for-4 for 17 yards and had two carries for five yards before exiting.
The injury was the latest of several in the early going.
Baltimore defensive tackle Calais Campbell left the game on the second series with a right leg injury and was listed as questionable to return.
Cleveland running back Kareem Hunt sustained an ankle injury late in the first quarter and was also questionable to return.
The Browns led the Ravens 10-0 at the time of Jackson’s injury.
