The Philadelphia Phillies signed top international prospect Yhoswar Garcia on Saturday.
The 18-year-old Venezuelan outfielder will receive a bonus of $2 million to $2.5 million, NBC Sports Philadelphia reported.
Nicknamed “The Drone” for his speed and defense, Garcia is listed at 6-foot-1 and 155 pounds.
He is expected to begin his career at the Phillies’ Latin American academy in the Dominican Republic whenever baseball activities resume.
