Packers’ LaFleur: WR Adams ‘probably doubtful’ vs. Saints

Green Bay Packers star wide receiver Davante Adams is looking less likely to suit up for Sunday night’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

Coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that Adams is “probably doubtful” to play in the game due to a hamstring injury he sustained during the second half of Green Bay’s 42-21 win over Detroit last weekend. Adams has not practiced at all this week.

LaFleur, however, wants to give Adams, 27, the remainder of the weekend before making any determination on his status for the game against the Saints (1-1). Kickoff is slated for 8:20 p.m. ET.

Adams has recorded 17 receptions for 192 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season for the Packers (2-0). The three-time Pro Bowl selection has 448 receptions for 5,386 yards and 46 scores in his six-plus seasons with Green Bay.

Fellow wideouts Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Allen Lazard are expected to see a bigger workload if Adams can’t play on Sunday.

The Packers won all four games last season that Adams missed because of turf toe.
