Packers CB Alexander exits with concussion

Green Bay cornerback Jaire Alexander sustained a concussion and was ruled out of the Packers’ game against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night in Santa Clara, Calif.

Alexander got hurt early in the second quarter when he was tackling San Francisco running back Jerick McKinnon and the two struck heads. He went to the locker room for examination, and the Packers announced he was through for the night at the outset of the third quarter.

The third-year pro had one tackle in the contest to increase his season total to 27. He has one interception this year, his fourth in 37 career games.

Packers running back Dexter Williams (knee), linebacker Krys Barnes (calf) and right tackle Rick Wagner (knee) also were lost with game-ending injuries in the first half.
