Brooklyn Nets star guard James Harden will not play Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz after being scratched before the game due to a neck injury.
The Nets will be extremely short-handed in Salt Lake City, as the team already ruled out Kevin Durant (hamstring), Kyrie Irving (personal) and the newly acquired Blake Griffin (rest).
After being listed as questionable for Tuesday’s contest against the Portland Trail Blazers with the ailment, Harden took the floor and led the Nets to a 116-112 road victory, scoring 25 points and dishing out 17 assists.
The 17 assists Tuesday tied his season high.
Harden has averaged 25.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 11.5 assists in 30 games since joining the Nets. The team is 23-8 since trading for the All-Star in mid-January.
