Michigan LB Uche declares for NFL draft

Michigan outside linebacker Josh Uche said he will bypass his senior season and enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

Uche has 34 tackles and a team-best 8.5 sacks this season. He said he will play in the team’s upcoming bowl game against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.

“I am ready for the next challenge and a new chapter in football and in life,” Uche wrote on social media. “Me and my family have made the decision to forego my final season of eligibility and enter my name in the 2020 NFL Draft.”

Overall, Uche has 16.5 sacks in 38 games for the Wolverines.

Uche figures to be selected within the top three rounds of the draft.
