The New York Mets activated outfielder Tyrone Taylor from the injured list Wednesday, while outfielder Jose Seri was designated for assignment.

In seven seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers (2019-23) and Mets, Taylor is a career .237 hitter with 50 home runs and 196 RBIs in 570 games.

Siri, 30, batted just .063 with one RBI in 16 games with the Mets this season after he was acquired in an offseason trade from the Tampa Bay Rays. He has missed much of the season with a tibia fracture.

In five seasons with the Houston Astros (2021-22) Rays (2022-24) and Mets, Siri is a career .206 hitter with 54 home runs and 137 RBIs over 372 games.

The Mets entered play Wednesday clinging to the third and final wild-card spot in the National League, one game ahead of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Cincinnati Reds
