Mariners send RHP Wright to Triple-A Tacoma


The Seattle Mariners sent right-hander Mike Wright to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

The 29-year-old reliever was designated for assignment on Friday.

Wright posted a 7.31 ERA in nine appearances for Seattle, allowing 16 runs (13 earned) in 16 innings.

He was acquired by the Mariners from Baltimore on April 24 after the Orioles designated him for assignment. He was 0-1 with one save and a 9.45 ERA in 10 games with Baltimore.

In parts of five seasons, Wright is 10-12 with a 6.03 ERA and 208 strikeouts in 258 innings.
