LSU suspends WR Anderson for 2019 season

LSU suspended senior wide receiver Dee Anderson for the season.

When he showed up at preseason camp, he was suspended indefinitely for what coach Ed Orgeron termed “conditioning” issues. He has not played in the first two games, both LSU wins.

On Thursday, Oregeron announced the season-long suspension, which The Advocate in Baton Rouge said was “for not meeting conditioning requirements.”

The 6-foot-6, 229-pound Anderson had 20 receptions for 274 yards and a touchdown in 2018. In three seasons with the Tigers, he has 27 catches for 392 yards and one TD.

LSU’s three starting receivers — Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase and Terrace Marshall — have totaled 34 catches for 572 yards and nine touchdowns through two games for the high-scoring Tigers.
