LSU landed a commitment from another blue-chip safety prospect in the Class of 2021.
Derrick Davis Jr., ranked as the No. 2 safety and the No. 53 overall player in the class by the 247Sports composite, tweeted a photo apparently of himself in an LSU uniform Sunday with the comment, “#geauxtigers LETS GOOO.”

Last weekend, five-star recruit Sage Ryan, the nation’s No. 1 safety prospect, committed to coach Ed Orgeron and the Tigers. Ryan attends local Lafayette Christian Academy.
The 6-foot-1, 194-pound Davis, from Monroeville, Pa., chose the Tigers over schools that included Southern California, Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia and in-state Penn State.
LSU now has 22 commits in its 2021 class, which ranks No. 3 in the nation, per 247Sports, trailing only Alabama and Ohio State.
