Miami sophomore receiver Brian Hightower is leaving the Hurricanes.
“I am entering my name into the transfer portal to openly explore the best opportunities to utilize my remaining eligibility and pursue my education,” he announced Monday night on Twitter.
A four-star member of Miami’s 2018 recruiting class, Hightower caught eight passes for 88 yards in seven games this season.
The 6-3, 210-pound wideout had four catches for 60 yards and one touchdown in 10 games as a 2018 true freshman.
The Hurricanes (3-4, 1-3 ACC) continue their season Saturday at Pitt (5-2, 2-1).
