Harrison Jr. commits to Buckeyes’ 2021 class


Ohio State added four-star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to its 2021 recruiting class on Thursday.

The son of Hall of Fame wideout Marvin Harrison, he attends St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia. His quarterback there, Kyle McCord, also has committed to the Buckeyes’ Class of 2021.

The 247Sports composite ranks the 6-foot-4 Harrison as the nation’s No. 8 player at the position.

He had offers from Notre Dame and programs throughout the Big Ten, ACC and SEC, including his father’s alma mater, Syracuse.

The elder Harrison played 13 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. A three-time All-Pro, he caught 1,102 passes for 14,580 yards and 128 touchdowns from 1996-2008. He helped the Colts win Super Bowl XLI and was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.
