Eagles WRs Jackson, Jeffery to miss contest vs. 49ers

The Philadelphia Eagles will be without receivers DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery for their Sunday night road game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Jackson injured his hamstring in last Sunday in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Jeffery is still recovering from a foot injury he sustained last December.

In addition, wideout J.J. Arcega-Whiteside (calf) is doubtful, leaving Greg Ward and rookie John Hightower as the club’s only healthy receivers. Hightower missed Thursday’s practice due to an illness but was back to working fully on Friday.

The Eagles are expected to dip into their practice squad to add at least one receiver prior to the game. The team can choose from Deontay Burnett, Travis Fulgham and Marcus Green.

Cornerbacks Avonte Maddox (ankle) and Trevor Williams (rib) also were ruled of the contest.

Left tackle Jason Peters (foot) is questionable.
