Eagles RT Johnson (ankle) says he is out for season

Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson told reporters on Friday that his season is over.

Johnson said he needs ankle surgery, with the Delaware News Journal reporting that the procedure will require four to five months of recovery time.

“The inside of my ankle has collapsed,” Johnson said, per The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Matt Pryor is expected to replace Johnson, 30, when the Eagles (3-6-1) host the Seattle Seahawks (7-3) on Monday (8:15 p.m. ET).

Johnson, a three-time Pro Bowl selection and 2017 first-team All-Pro, has appeared in seven games this season. He has started all 99 games in which he has played since being selected by Philadelphia with the fourth overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft.
