Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton will not play this weekend against the host Pittsburgh Steelers due to a calf injury, coach Frank Reich announced Friday.
Hilton, in fact, could be sidelined multiple weeks with the non-contact injury he sustained during Wednesday’s practice.
“With the information that we have, generally speaking, it’s a three-to-four week injury,” Reich said.
That’s not good news for the Colts, who are 0-5 when Hilton is out of the lineup. The 29-year-old last sat out with a quadriceps injury on Sept. 29 in Indianapolis’ 31-24 loss to the Oakland Raiders.
Hilton has recorded 32 receptions for 360 yards and five touchdowns in six games this season for the Colts (5-2). The four-time Pro Bowler has 539 catches for 8,457 yards with 45 touchdowns in 114 career games (93 starts) since being selected by Indianapolis in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
