Colts TE Doyle to miss game against Vikings

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle will miss Sunday’s home game against the Minnesota Vikings with knee and ankle injuries.

The two-time Pro Bowl selection didn’t practice all week and was formally ruled out on Friday by coach Frank Reich.

Doyle had three receptions for 49 yards in last Sunday’s 27-20 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had 43 catches for 448 yards and four touchdowns last season when he was named to his second Pro Bowl.

Indianapolis was already short-handed at tight end with Trey Burton (calf) currently on injured reserve.

Five Colts are listed as questionable: Safety Julian Blackmon (knee), defensive end Justin Houston (calf), receivers Zach Pascal (ankle) and Michael Pittman Jr. (toe), and cornerback Isaiah Rodgers (ankle).

Houston and Pittman missed Friday’s practice while Blackmon was limited. Pascal and Rodgers were full participants.
