Cardinals WR Kirk misses practice with groin injury

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Christian Kirk did not practice Wednesday due to a groin injury.

The third-year veteran has caught just three of nine targets for 57 yards through two games.

A second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Kirk tallied 111 receptions for 1,299 yards and six touchdowns in 25 games during his first two seasons with Arizona.

Fellow wideouts Larry Fitzgerald and DeAndre Hopkins didn’t practice either, but it was a rest day for both ahead of Sunday’s game between the Cardinals (2-0) and Detroit Lions (0-2) in Glendale, Ariz.

Center Mason Cole (hamstring) and defensive end Jordan Phillips (ankle) were held out of practice. Cornerback Byron Murphy (shoulder) was a limited participant.

Safety Budda Baker (thumb) was listed as a full participant Wednesday.
