Cleveland Browns coach Freddie Kitchens announced Thursday that Jarvis Landry remains in concussion protocol, raising questions about the wide receiver’s availability for the team’s upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Landry reeled in eight receptions for 167 yards in Sunday’s 40-25 win over Baltimore before he was injured in the second half.
The 26-year-old Landry, who has yet to miss a game since he was drafted in 2016, has 18 catches for 328 yards in four games this season.
While Landry’s status is in question, the Browns (2-2) will see the return of wide receiver Antonio Callaway in Monday’s game against the 49ers (3-0). Callaway received a four-game suspension in August for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.
Callaway, 22, caught 43 passes for 586 yards and five touchdowns in his rookie season in 2018.
Kitchens also said Thursday that cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams are considered day-to-day with the hamstring injuries. Ward and Williams have missed each of the last two games.
