The Atlanta Braves have released first baseman Lucas Duda, the team announced Tuesday.
The Braves initially acquired Duda from the Kansas City Royals last season. He went 4-for-18 with one homer and two RBIs in 20 games with Atlanta in 2018.
Duda was later let go by the Braves and rejoined the Royals, with whom he batted .171 (18-for-105) with four homers and 15 RBIs in 39 games this season.
Atlanta again acquired Duda this month after he was released by Kansas City, but the 33-year-old went 8-for-57 with one homer in 16 games at Triple-A Gwinnett.
