Bills sign RB Leonard Fournette to practice squad

The Buffalo Bills signed veteran running back Leonard Fournette to their practice squad on Monday, his agents announced.

Fournette passed a physical in Buffalo after his intention to join the Bills was made public earlier in the day.

Fournette, 28, has yet to suit up with any team this season after being cut by Tampa Bay in March at his request. Fournette rushed for 668 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games (nine starts) for the Buccaneers in 2022. He also caught 73 passes for 523 yards and another three TDs.

Fournette has rushed for 4,478 yards and 34 touchdowns in six seasons with Jacksonville (2017-19) and Tampa Bay. The Jaguars selected him No. 4 overall in the 2017 draft. He has 2,219 career receiving yards and seven TDs.

Fournette would join a running back room of James Cook and Latavius Murray. Damien Harris is currently on injured reserve. The Bills also have Ty Johnson.
