Buffalo Bills starting cornerback Josh Norman was ruled out of Sunday’s game at the New York Jets with a hamstring injury.
The Bills were hopeful the veteran would be able to play when he was limited in practice Thursday, but he did not practice at all Friday before his status was revealed.
Norman, in his first season with the Bills after four seasons with Washington and four with the Carolina Panthers, has 18 tackles, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in three games (two starts).
Norman has dealt with hamstring issues. His first came in training camp that eventually landed him on injured reserve to start the season. His latest hamstring injury happened in Monday’s 26-17 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Also out for Sunday are wide receiver John Brown (knee), linebacker Tyrel Dodson (hamstring), guard Cody Fox and tight end Dawson Knox (calf). Cornerback Cam Lewis (wrist), linebacker Matt Milano (chest muscle) and cornerback Tre’Davious White (back) are questionable.
