Oakland Athletics outfield prospect Skye Bolt is set to join the team before Friday’s series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
According to multiple reports, Bolt will be promoted from Triple-A and could play in the first game of the series at PNC Park.
Bolt, 25, was a fourth-round pick in 2015 from then-national champion North Carolina.
At Triple-A Las Vegas, the switch-hitting outfielder is batting .325 with six home runs and 27 RBIs in 22 games.
The A’s optioned right-handed pitcher Ryan Dull to Triple-A following Wednesday’s game at Boston.
