2016: Rather quietly, the 11-year veteran delivered his fi nest season since 2011, flirting with career marks in homers, runs and RBIs. Not bad for a player whose average draft position was somewhere in the 70s.
Forecast: Kinsler struck out more often than ever in 2016, but the tradeoff was worth it. His .831 OPS was his best in six seasons, and his slugging percentage spiked 56 points. Can he do it again? Some regression seems likely, but even so, “old reliables” like Kinsler tend to cost less than they should in fantasy drafts. He could easily outperform one or two of the players higher on the board.
