Kansas City manager Ned Yost returned the the Royals’ spring-training camp in Surprise, Ariz., one day after he underwent surgery to remove his gallbladder.
Yost was away from the team on Tuesday for undisclosed reasons after undergoing the procedure, which is typically done as an outpatient, The Kansas City Star reported.
Yost, 57, became the Royals manager in May 2010. He also has managed the Milwaukee Brewers
The Royals were scheduled to play an intrasquad game Wednesday afternoon.
