Montie Quinn Has a Day for the Record Books
Sometimes an individual college football performance is so extraordinary, it is hard to believe. That happened on Saturday for Division III Curry College (Mass.)
In its 71-21 victory over Nichols, the all-time rushing record for all divisions of college football was set by Montie Quinn.
The junior running back ran for 522 yards on just 20 carries (26.1 yards per carry) and scored seven touchdowns. Five of his scores were on runs of over 50 yards and two second half touchdowns were over 80 yards. All of this was done without playing in the last nine minutes of the game.
For his performance, Montie Quinn has been recognized for the Academy Sports + Outdoors Award, Player of the Week.
