Golden State Warriors guard Nemanja Nedovic’s foot injury is reportedly not as serious as initially believed and he hopes to represent his native Serbia in the upcoming FIBA World Cup.
Nedovic was originally believed to have a stress fracture in his foot earlier this summer but Sportando.net reported that the injury is not that serious after tests were sent to the Warriors.
Nedovic, a point guard, is waiting for the Warriors to give him permission to play in the tournament in Spain later this month.
Nedovic has one year remaining on his contract with the Warriors. Last season, he scored 26 points in 24 games and averaged just under six minutes per game.
