Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph could be out until December with a broken foot. Rudolph was injured on a touchdown catch Sunday at Dallas.
A Pro Bowl selection in 2012, Rudolph is second on the team with 30 receptions for 313 yards and a team-best three touchdown catches this season.
Coach Leslie Frazier said Rudolph’s injury is not a dreaded Lis Franc sprain, which often brings long-term complications and an extended recovery, but his left foot could require four weeks rest to heal entirely.
Backup John Carlson is expected to start in Rudolph’s spot Thursday night against the Washington Redskins. Carlson has 11 receptions for 61 yards in 2013.
