Boston Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino was taken to the hospital as a precaution after hitting the wall while trying to make a catch during Sunday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Victorino was evaluated on Sunday night, but Red Sox manager John Farrell said, according to MLB.com, “Everything points to him being ready for Tuesday.”

Victorino appeared to injure his ribs when he crashed into the wall while unsuccessfully trying to rob Emilio Bonifacio of a home run in the fourth inning. He stayed in the game at that point and was not removed from the contest until the seventh inning.
