Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger has a Grade III sprain in his right shoulder and will miss the team’s final three games, according to reports Monday.

Mettenberger reinjured his shoulder after being sacked in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 36-7 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. He was sacked five times in the game.

Mettenberger, a sixth-round draft pick, started Sunday despite spraining his throwing shoulder a week earlier in a loss at Houston.

Jake Locker replaced Mettenberger for a second straight week. He was sacked three more times as the Giants finished with eight sacks.

The Titans (2-11) lost their seventh straight and for the 11th time in 12 games.
